What the app collects

• Your account. Signing in creates an account through Firebase Authentication. We store the identifier you sign in with so your conversations follow you between devices.
• Your conversations and generated content. Your main chat history stays on your device. Conversations with AI characters, PDF chats and the images or videos you generate are stored in Firebase Firestore under your account so they follow you between devices.
• Travel eSIM orders. When you buy travel data we record the destination, the plan you chose, the price you paid through Apple, an order reference and the activation status. The eSIM supplier — the mobile-network partner that provisions the eSIM through our travel service — receives the plan and the order reference, never your name, email address or payment details.
• Purchases. Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of what you bought and when it renews. We never see or store your card details.
• Crash and error reports. Sentry and Firebase Crashlytics record diagnostics when something goes wrong, so we can fix it.
• Basic usage analytics. Firebase Analytics records which features are used, so we know what to improve.
• Push notifications. If you allow them, Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers them to your device.

Permissions the app asks for

Each of these is requested only when you use the feature that needs it, and you can refuse or revoke it at any time in Settings.

• Camera and Photo Library — to use your own images with the AI features, and to save what you generate.
• Microphone and Speech Recognition — to let you speak to the app instead of typing.

What the app does not do

The app does not track you across other apps or websites. It contains no advertising network, does not read your device's advertising identifier, and does not show ads. It does not request your location. We do not sell personal data.

The third-party services named above have their own privacy policies, linked below, and what they collect is governed by those policies and by your device settings.

Your content and the AI services that receive it

Before anything is sent, the app shows a consent screen that names each service below and what it receives, and asks for your agreement. You can review that disclosure and withdraw your consent at any time in Settings → AI data sharing; the app then sends nothing further to any AI service until you agree again.

Every request goes first to our own gateway, the Travel Buddy API (aibuddy.life, operated by AI Buddy Inc), which receives the request and your account identifier for rate limiting and selects one provider for it based on the feature you used:

• OpenAI (openai.com) — chat messages, attached images and voice recordings, for text responses, image generation and audio transcription.
• Anthropic (anthropic.com) — chat messages, for advanced AI conversations.
• Amazon Bedrock (aws.amazon.com, Amazon Nova models) — chat messages, for chat responses.
• Google (cloud.google.com, Gemini and Veo) — chat messages, images and video prompts, for multimodal AI and video generation.
• Suno (suno.com) — the song description you write, for AI music generation.
• fal.ai (fal.ai) — the video prompt and any image you attach, for AI video generation.

One further recipient is not a model provider. Pinecone (pinecone.io) is a search index used only by the PDF feature. When you upload a document it receives a numeric embedding computed from that document's text, the document's name, and your account identifier as the namespace the embedding is stored under, so that a later question can be matched to the right passage. The document's text itself is not sent to Pinecone; it is stored in Firebase Firestore alongside your chat. Both are deleted when your account is deleted.

What is sent is the content you submit to an AI feature: chat messages and prompts, images you attach, audio recordings for voice input, PDF documents and files you upload, and code snippets you share. Your account credentials are never sent to an AI service.

How these providers protect your data. Each is engaged under its business API terms, not its consumer service. Those terms limit the provider to using your content to produce the response you asked for, prohibit selling it, and bind the provider to data-protection obligations that provide the same or greater protection than this policy. Where a provider's API terms allow short retention for abuse monitoring, that retention is time-limited and the content is then deleted. We only work with AI providers whose terms meet this standard, and we update this list and the consent screen whenever routing changes. Do not put information in a prompt that you would not want processed by these services.

Deleting your data

Email us at the address below and we will delete your account and its stored conversations.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
